The Mill Street Milanese is modeled after a great old Italian bass attributed to Testore, of Milan, Italy.

Here is video from 2019 Tyler Abbot playing #18, a Ponderosa Pine top with a Western Maple flat back, made in 2011 (!) with the rest of the University of Oregon string department on the other bits, in the UO's Beall Hall.
