The Mill Street Milanese is modeled after a great old Italian bass attributed to Testore, of Milan, Italy

My model brings this bass up to modern standards and, like  all of my models, accommodates a bit of variability in size (rib depth, body length and string length). This allows adaptability for different players typically at no additional cost.

Here is video from 2019 Tyler Abbot playing #18, a Ponderosa Pine top with a Western Maple flat back, made in 2011 (!) with the rest of the University of Oregon string department on the other bits, in the UO's Beall Hall.
